VOLUNTEERING AT FIDDLESTICKS
As a community-based organization, we rely on volunteers like you to run our programs and events. Fostering volunteerism in our neighbourhood is a key tenet of what we do. For over 25 years, Fiddlesticks has seen the benefits of having engaged and committed community members; not only as an organization but throughout our neighbourhood.
CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

After School Program
WHEN: Monday-Friday from 2:45 - 5:30 PM
WHERE: Fiddlesticks Community Centre, 71 Cowan Blvd.
START DATE: Thursday, September 4th 2025 - June 2026
COMMITMENT: A minimum of 1 day per week for 2.75 hours.
This is an outdoor program.
FYRE Youth Committee
WHEN: Wednesdays from 3:30 - 4:30 PM
WHERE: Fiddlesticks Community Centre, 71 Cowan Blvd.
START DATE: Ongoing
COMMITMENT: 1 day per week for 1 hour.
*Applicants must be in Grades 6-8 and go to a neighbouring school in our catchment area.*
Youth Dodgeball
WHEN: Mondays from 6:00 - 8:30 PM
WHERE: Clemens Mill Public School, 335 Saginaw Pkwy.
START DATE: January 2026 (as soon as possible)
COMMITMENT: 1 day per week for 2.5 hours
Bingo
WHEN: Various Shifts (depending on shifts available with our partner the Cambridge Bingo & Gaming Centre)
WHERE: Cambridge Bingo & Gaming Centre, 255 Elgin St. N.
START DATE: Ongoing
COMMITMENT: 1 day every month for 2 hours (one shift)
*Applicants must already be registered Fiddlesticks volunteers and 18+*
Food Truck Wednesdays
WHEN: Wednesdays from May - August 2026
WHERE: Fiddlesticks Community Centre, 71 Cowan Blvd.
COMMITMENT: Wednesday Nights for 3 hours
This is an outdoor event.
Sports Night
WHEN: Wednesdays from 6:00 - 8:30 PM
WHERE: St. Margaret's Catholic Elementary School, 210 Cowan Blvd.
START DATE: January 2026 (as soon as possible)
COMMITMENT: 1 day per week for 2.5 hours.
Neighbourhood Day (Committee)
WHEN: Bi-Weekly Meetings
WHERE: Fiddlesticks Community Centre, 71 Cowan Blvd.
START DATE: Ongoing starting Mid-March 2026
COMMITMENT: This opportunity is for one day every two weeks for minimum of 1.5 hours.
Youth Dance Chaperone
WHEN: Occasional Fridays 6:30 - 10:00 PM (for the evening of the dances)
WHERE: Clemens Mill Public School, 335 Saginaw Pkwy.
START DATE: February, April 2026
COMMITMENT: 1 day approximately every 2 months for 3.5 hours.
*Applicants must already be a registered Fiddlesticks Volunteer and 16+*
Youth Rec. Volleyball
WHEN: Thursdays from 6:15 - 8:15 PM
WHERE: Clemens Mill Public School, 335 Saginaw Pkwy.
START DATE: January 2026 (as soon as possible)
COMMITMENT: 1 day per week for 2 hours.
