REGISTERED YOUTH PROGRAMS

Our Youth Programs are offered to those who live within the Fiddlesticks Catchment or go to a Neighbourhood School (Clemens Mill, St. Margaret's, Saginaw, St. Teresa).

If you are interested in registering for any of the youth programs, please email info@fiddlesticks.ca. All registrations will be processed by date and time of arrival of completed documentation. Please see a full list of programs currently being offered below:

After School Program
The After School Program (ASP) is an outdoor focused program that encourages physical activity, teaches good nutrition, sports and cooperative games. Leadership opportunities are available for program youth who are in grades 6-8. t is available for students who live within the Fiddlesticks catchment area or attend one of our 4 local elementary schools (St. Margaret’s, Clemens Mill, St. Teresa, Saginaw). 

This program is generously funded by the Government of Ontario, through the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.  The Ministry funding model is based on attendance records that we are required to report. If a participant has 3 unexplained absences, Fiddlesticks reserves the right to withdraw the child/youth from program.

BPSA Scouting (Ages 5 - 15+)
BPSA Scouting promotes strong values, confidence, and healthy living through outdoor recreation for ages 5 and older.

Ages 5-7: Otter Raft *FULL (WAITLIST ONLY) - Children learn cooperation through non-competitive games, crafts, music, and nature activities.

Ages 8-10: Timberwolf Pack *FULL (WAITLIST ONLY) -  Based on The Wolf Cub’s Handbook, kids engage in outdoor activities, archery, camping, and earn badges to boost confidence.

Ages 11-14: Explorer Troop - Participants build skills through camping, hiking, archery, and cooking, learning leadership and teamwork.

Ages 15+: Sr Explorers/Rover Crew (meets at 71 Cowan) Members organize their own activities with adult guidance, enhancing leadership skills.

Cambridge Girls’ Choir
Are you seeking a fun and fulfilling activity for your child? The Cambridge Girls' Choir provides a safe and positive space for girls ages 8-18! Here, they can forge friendships with fellow music lovers and participate in exciting events throughout the year, such as concerts, music festivals, special Christmas celebrations, and much more. But we don't just sing! We also enjoy a variety of fun activities like skating nights, rock climbing, bowling, barbecues, Christmas caroling, and more.

Kids Night Out
Looking for a night out for you and your kids? Come and enjoy this 3.5-hour program. Dinner is provided, along with games, crafts, STEAM activities, and much more! This program is designed for children ages 4-12 (children must be 4 years old by the first day of each program date).

[lead] Weekend Course
Develop your leadership skills during this 12-module certification program! [lead] (Leadership Excellence Asset Development) training is great to have if you’re looking to land that perfect part-time job or a spot on a student council. [lead] is a requirement for Fiddlesticks Summer Camp Volunteers. This program is facilitated by Fiddlesticks Staff and offered as a weekend course or a week-long camp in the summer for youth ages 12-16.

DROP IN YOUTH PROGRAMS

Dodgeball Drop In
Love to play dodgeball? Here’s your chance! We play all different types of dodge ball including elimination, official, scatter ball, terminator and king’s court. Come out to duck, dive and dodge! This program takes place at Clemens Mill Public School on Mondays from 6:15-8:15 p.m. for Grades 4-8.

Cost: $2.00/ participant.                                                    *No Registration Required

Sports Night - Program Promotion (Facebook Post).png
Sports Night 
This program is focuses on all sorts of sports. Every week we try something new! Volleyball, Basketball, Ultimate Frisbee, Soccer, you name it. We're playing it! This program takes place at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Elementary School on Wednesdays from 6:15-7:15 p.m. for grades 1-3 & 7:15-8:15 p.m. for grades 4-8.

Youth Recreational Volleyball
Love to play volleyball? Here’s your chance! This is a drop-in volleyball program and the perfect opportunity to come out and play volleyball with your friends. This program takes place at Clemens Mill Public School on Thursdays from 6:30-8:00 p.m. for Grade 6-12.
Cost: $2.00/ participant

FYRE Committee 
Are you interested in having your say? Planning events for you and your friends….like dances, coffee houses and jam sessions? Come out and join the FYRE (Fiddlesticks Youth Recreation Enthusiasts) Committee. It’s a great way to get involved in your neighbourhood and to complete your community service hours for High School. This Program takes place at Fiddlesticks on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30pm for ages 12-18.
